Cellular Health: Discovering Health From The Inside Out

When we are talking about a wellness reboot we would be remiss to not discuss our cells.

The cell is defined as, “the basic structural, functional, and biological unit of all known living organisms. A cell is the smallest unit of life that can replicate independently, and cells are often called the "building blocks of life".” The health of our cell is in direct proportion to the health of our overall bodies health. It is the inside out approach to health that holds an efficient simplicity. By focusing on our cellular health we are creating a strong foundation on which to build a solid body.

Today we will be only focusing on the health of our human cells...Interesting fact that it has been observed that as little as  only 10% of the cells in your body are human. Discussing your non-human cells is a topic for a different discussion.


Our cellular health affects all aspects of our life because every organ, every muscle, every nerve...they are all made up of cells. We can either focus on the symptom, chasing each one individually, or we can focus on creating a foundation of health. For instance, if an individual presents the symptoms of a chronic respiratory condition, digestive upset and low levels of energy, one might think of these as three separate symptoms. Going to the doctor there might be three different medications prescribed or perhaps only medications to treat two of the symptoms with a recommendation to get more rest in order to have more energy. However, your body does not see these as 3 separate conditions. Your body sees them as three manifestations of poor cellular health. Create the conditions of cellular health and conditions unwind naturally.

By focusing on the health of our cells first, we place our focus at the source of the river of health. By focusing on the health of our cells we are affecting our body in a truly holistic manner. An example of the importance of this viewpoint is to think about the need to combat environmental stressors. We all know that in this day and age we are surrounded by environmental stressors including: car exhaust, second hand smoke, pesticides, plastics, processed foods, new construction off gassing, GMO’s, cellular radiation and the list goes on…


Our options are to either A: inefficiently protect  our cells  from each one of these stressors through rigorous isolation from the sources. This creates the need for an ongoing battle staying educated on all new possible health risks and this could lead to unattainable lifestyle choices of living far from civilization and can be crazy making and all consuming.


Or implement option B: Which is to fortify and strengthen every single one of our cells to the best of our ability so that each cell may be able to recognize all stressors immediately and efficiently respond and protect us from the inside out. We will focus the next few videos on ways in which we can support our health on a cellular level.
